Hubbard Interview: Give it your best shot
But as of last year, Inside Job’s writer and director, Charles Ferguson, was not pleased with the lack of change on Wall Street since the film’s release. When asked in a 2011 interview with The New York Times what had changed in the economic environment, he said, “Not much. I think it is a very disturbing situation, and that says something disturbing about the condition of American politics.” Mr. Ferguson may not have seen any change on Wall Street from the film, but change has happened in the college education system with regard to revealing conflicts of interest. In fact, this new code of ethics and raised scrutiny for professionals in the economic field is known by some as “the Inside Job effect.”
